Racing will normally start with a hurdles races followed by a steeplechase.

Last race: Scheduled 4.00 pm (tbc*)

Number of Races: 10 (additional races added following abandonment of Te Rapa on 4/6/18)

Gates open: 9.45 am

Reserved hospitality options open: 10.15 am

THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS AT TRENTHAM

Join us for two of our favourite things - racing and Christmas, with all the festive trimmings!

Experience the thrill of racing inside the comfort of a winter wonderland with a full northern hemisphere Christmas feast to warm the cockles of your heart. A few Christmas carols, mulled wine and sprigs of holly will soon whisk you into your favourite memories of chestnuts roasting on an open fire....

Cheer up your winter and treat your family, friends or colleagues to Christmas Winterfest Racing! 

To add to the excitement, the day holds the first Steeplechase of the season - run on the classic "figure 8" course, it is spectacular! Followed by a Hurdle, todays racing provides a taste of "jumps" before the prestigious Wellington Steeplechase and Wellington Hurdles on July 14th.

Trentham’s terraced, premier restaurant gives you a stunning outlook and provides the perfect seat to experience the magic of racing.  A Festive Premier Buffet will showcase our Chef’s expertise as they treat you to the styles of Trentham.

The Members Stand is whisked into a winter wonderland so it's the only place to be on Winterfest!
Find a pew to take in the views of racing, enjoy the live music and dine in the Brasserie Restaurant when you wish. 

Your day at Wellington Races includes:

  • Access to Members car parking

  • Brasserie Restaurant voucher to enjoy a Festive Buffet including dessert
