Wellington Steeplechase Day
Combining the raw power and stamina of a flat racing thoroughbred with the precision and impulsion of high-speed cross country jumping, gives you the brave and thrilling sport of Steeplechase. Wellington Steeplechase is famed for its unique “figure-eight” track, a spectacle in itself but when viewed from the very top of the Public Stand, is one of the greatest sights of NZ jumps racing.
Steeples, hurdles and gallops brings you the ultimate winter raceday – get your tweeds out and rally up your mates! To add to the racing celebration is live music, Best Dressed and a few Hot Toddy’s to whet the whistle.
