Free parking is available at Trentham Racecourse on most racedays.

Entry gates and parking areas may vary depending on the raceday, so please follow event signage and directions from our team when you arrive.

For major events, including Wellington Cup Day, specific traffic management arrangements may be in place. We recommend checking the relevant raceday page before travelling for the latest information. 

The train is one of the easiest ways to get to Trentham on raceday – and with Trentham Station located directly opposite the racecourse, you won't have far to go once you arrive.

Trains run from Wellington Station on the Hutt Valley Line. From Trentham Station, simply use the pedestrian underpass for direct access to the racecourse.

Accessible parking is available for guests displaying a valid mobility parking permit.

Helicopter arrivals and departures at Trentham Racecourse can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

All helicopter movements must be approved by Wellington Racing Club in advance and availability may be limited.

Please contact our team to arrange approval before confirming your flight.

Being dropped off? Taxis and rideshare services are an easy way to get to and from Trentham.

Drop-off and pick-up locations may change for our larger racedays due to traffic management requirements, so please check your raceday information before travelling.

If you're local or arriving at Trentham Station, pedestrian access to the racecourse is available from Racecourse Road.

Please follow raceday signage and use designated pedestrian entrances when arriving and leaving the course.
